Accessing the Charity Portal
We are aware of system slowness that is impacting charities as they complete their Annual Information Statement; we apologise for the inconvenience.
This is the peak time of year, with thousands of charities logging into the Charity Portal simultaneously. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to improve the speed and responsiveness, to ensure all charities can submit their Annual Information Statement.
If you are finding the Charity Portal unmanageable, the following may improve your experience:
- Log into the Charity Portal when there is less traffic, outside of 11am – 3:30pm weekdays
- Log into the Charity Portal on the weekend (if possible)
- Use the most up-to-date version of your internet browser
- Delete browser cookies and reopen the browser before logging into the Charity Portal.
We are also pleased to announce that this will be the last Annual Information Statement charities are required to complete using the current system. Our IT team is in the process of implementing a new fit-for-purpose system that will dramatically improve the speed of both the Charity Portal and our website.

Some charities are reporting problems accessing the Portal while using the Internet Explorer browser. If you’re having problems getting the Portal to load, we suggest you download Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and try to access the portal using one of these browsers instead.
